My son, Jack is a brilliant nine year old. Very quick and very smart. Problem is he’s in a public, government controlled school system where he’s being told his B grades aren’t good enough. Stop. Slow down. Think. Go over your work. You can get A’s if you put your mind to it.
Are A’s going to make him successful in life? Make him a productive member of society? Fulfill all of his dreams and aspirations instead of the teacher’s or even his father’s?
Getting all A’s by answering questions to a pre-programmed math problem, for me, means being programmed to not think any deeper about life and what people are really up to. Spend your time thinking about the answers to this specific problem instead of living life, having fun, being in action and thinking on your own. There’s a chance you may get to the heart of what’s really going on in the world and that we’re all just being programmed. By who? I’ll leave that for you to ponder.

Why is it people hate salesmen? Nevermind. I can answer my own question. A lot of them are swarmy – I get it.
BUT…….With all of the products and services out there, if there weren’t salesmen, there wouldn’t be sales. And if there were no sales, there would be a lot of people without the material things they love in life. And if there were no sales, there would be a lot of doctors without patients and lawyers without clients and restaurants without patrons and journalists without readers…you get the picture.
As a “salesman”, I’m on LinkedIn and a member of many groups. This is a tool used to network. Someone posted a comment requesting connections quipping, “don’t worry I’m not going to sell you anything”. Well then why are you on LinkedIn? You’re undoubtedly looking to sell something. Yourself – at the very least. Maybe it’s to get a job, but it’s still sales, buddy!!
OK. I’m done. Thanks for listening.

The people in my life claim that I’m very private and I get it. I don’t share much of myself. I’m an open hearted person, but when it comes to thoughts, feelings, what’s going on with my life, I’m pretty tight lipped. I’m imagining how they would feel if they come across this blog a year from now. Well, here goes. Let’s see what happens.
